Good CTR But No Sales: Where The Money Is Actually Leaking

People are clicking your Facebook ad and nobody is buying. That is a landing page problem, not an ad problem. Here is how to find the leak.

High CTR and zero sales is the clearest diagnostic signal in paid ads. It means your creative and targeting are doing their job — interest is real. The break is after the click.

Confirm the clicks are actually arriving

Before blaming your page, check something most people skip. In Ads Manager compare link clicks to landing page views.

If landing page views are far lower than link clicks, a large share of people tapped and left before your page finished loading. They never saw your offer at all. This is one of the most common and most invisible leaks in dropshipping, and it is almost always page speed — heavy hero video, unoptimised images, or too many apps loading on a Shopify theme.

If the clicks are arriving, work down this list

  1. Message mismatch. The ad promised one thing, the page opens with another. The visitor cannot tell in two seconds that they landed in the right place.
  2. Price shock. The ad never implied a price and the page opens at €49. Interest dies instantly.
  3. No trust. No reviews, no real photos, no shipping or returns information. A stranger will not enter a card number on a store they have never heard of.
  4. Checkout friction. Forced account creation, surprise shipping cost at the last step, too many form fields.

Order of testing

Test page speed first, because it is cheap to check and invalidates everything else. Then the top third of the page — the part visible without scrolling — since that is where most visitors decide. Only then touch price or checkout.

Fast check: open your product page on mobile data, not wifi, on a phone that has never visited your store. If you feel any wait at all, your buyers felt it too and most of them left.

Stop guessing which second kills your ad.

AdDoctor connects to your Meta ad account and shows you exactly where viewers scroll away — and which competitor stores are running ads in your niche right now.
